Sincere story about why I do what I do

Hello! My name is Natalka Ukraine. And this is not a pseudonym.

This is my real last name and first name, which my father pronounced with special warmth since childhood.

I am a teacher, a mother, a volunteer, an author. I have worked with children for over twenty years — in boarding schools, schools, families. And I know for sure that parents often have no one to turn to for truly reliable advice, with confidence in the quality of the answer, without fear of being reprimanded for parental “incompetence.” When you are confused, anxious, or on edge — it is important to have someone by your side who won’t blame or belittle you. Someone who calmly lays things out and gives you information and a firm footing.

That is exactly why I created the Baby‑bear Club.

Baby‑bear Club website birthday

The Baby‑bear Club website has a birthday — July 4, 2025. It coincides with my grandmother’s birthday – she would have turned 97 that day. I was pleased to link the two dates – the birthday of the person who gave me unconditional love, kindness, and warmth in childhood, and the birthday of my author project, where I will likewise share love and warmth with your little ones and with you.

This website format was not chosen by chance — I feel a strong need for a space where parenting is sincerely supported. Where you can ask a question and receive a clear, practical, and honest answer.

The site is just beginning to be filled. Every text, every fairy tale, every developmental material is the result of my painstaking work. And I also sincerely believe in the miraculous power of play and storytelling. If a child enjoys learning — they will love math, reading, and logic. To learn with love, interest, and results — what could be better and happier for children?

I select, verify, rewrite materials and articles — not for traffic, but for you and your children. For the trust with which you visit here. I so want to make everything as useful, engaging, and modern as possible. That is why the site fills slowly, but as my teaching and parental conscience demands. And the heart of a person in love with the child’s world!

Why Baby‑bear Club?

Baby bears are a delightful and funny symbol of childhood. Small, touching, a bit clumsy, yet so familiar and real. And it is also the image of a child who needs to grow up with warmth, acceptance, and kind stories.
The Baby‑bear Club is the place where childhood is respected and parents are supported. Here you can communicate, ask, share, support each other, because in a few months a forum for parents with personal accounts and the ability to post articles, reviews, and discussions will be launched. Share the site with friends, dear readers, because the time of the forum’s opening depends on the number of site visitors.

About me: sincere and honest

Please understand that…

I am not a perfect expert. I am human.

With an acute sense of responsibility, a habit of seeing things through to the end.

I am an introvert, empath, a person with analytical thinking who sees everything in detail — especially in the field of education and childhood. I have an excellent childhood memory — when you can evaluate every step, fairy tale, or material from a child’s perspective.

I know well the meaning of the words “tired,” “I don’t understand,” “I can’t handle it.” And also – “burned out” and “I can’t stop because I’m a perfectionist.” I know how hard it can be when a child seems to speak another language or live in another world. And how you can get out of a dead end if you find the key — specifically for your child, not the generic one from a textbook.

At the same time I love jokes and humor. I simply can’t do without it. You will certainly notice traces of humor in many of my fairy tales and materials. Forgive me for that — this is how I express delight, admiration, and solidarity with the wonders our children bring us every day. This is how I tune myself and you to the same wavelength as the children, which is incredibly valuable!

I have two daughters — 15 and 26 years old. The older serves in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the younger this year entered a medical college. Both are independent, smart, and wise. They have many certificates for excellent studies. They are my most successful “projects.” They are my most beloved, most wonderful people in this world. I am infinitely proud of you, my dears, and happy to be your mother!

I am an animal volunteer, our home has six animals, five of which were rescued.

Since 2022 I have been actively helping the Ukrainian military. I hold a certificate as a military volunteer.

I love nature very much. I treat animals, plants, and everything around us with tenderness and care. That is why you will not find cruel messages on the site – only sensitivity, eco‑friendliness, kindness. Except, perhaps, for folk and other authors’ fairy tales, which I cannot alter. But even there I will add my own gentle author’s component.

I can compose powerful therapeutic, educational and kind, sweet entertaining fairy tales. Explain the complex so it becomes clear. Motivate a child to move forward without coercion. Tune an adult for resilience. I can break any process into steps. I have a huge pool of working knowledge and skills that will help achieve results easily and pleasantly (as it should be!).

I have worked with regular children, children from disadvantaged families, deaf children, schoolchildren, preschoolers, infants. I have experience working as a nanny, educator, early development tutor, teacher. And I know for sure: an “unmanageable” child is not a problem but a cry for help. And help can be given if you truly learn to see and understand. That is what we will do on the site.

I love toddlers!

I love schoolchildren!

I love rebellious teenagers!

They are a wonderful tribe of people, in whose hands is our future!

I love parents who live on the same wavelength with me — respecting the child’s world, genuinely striving to become better; ready to learn, change, view things realistically.

Let’s believe and move forward together!

Why Baby‑bear Club is a magical site?

This is not a marketing move, dear friends, and not just a slogan. It is the essence of my content.

To every triggering or challenging question I add a fairy tale. Inspiring, supportive, educational, or therapeutic. Fairy tales will help you easily convey useful skills and knowledge to your child. And they will surely inspire and motivate you; give faith that anything is possible!

Because fairy tales exist not only for children. Fairy tales exist for parents too. It is the language of emotions. It is what helps an adult look deep inside. It is a powerful tool for upbringing and learning.

On my site you will receive such tools.

Subscribe to the newsletter — and receive fairy tales not only for children but also for yourself. Inspiration, warmth, support — in every letter! Some letters will be specifically for parents — those that help you return to childhood and see the inner world of the child. In the form of fairy tales — simple, kind, honest. Incredibly interesting, right?

Who is Kuzya

You will probably immediately notice that the site has a main character — the ginger cat Kuzya. His prototype was my beloved cat, who was a loyal friend to me. We brought him from the village — abandoned, hungry, thin. And became his shelter, his family. And he was my friend, comforter, cat‑human. He warmed us with his warmth for seven years.

Now Kuzya is not with us; now he is my angel. He went to the cat paradise on June 28, 2025, just before the site launch. And I will never forget you, dear friend! I miss you so much. And always will.

Creating a series of fairy tales about the cat, I decided: if we cannot be together in life, we will stay together here. Kuzya lives on the pages of the Baby‑bear Club website. He helps children and parents smile; he tells, wonders and amazes; teaches, misbehaves, and does not always act like a cat. As he did in his short but bright life.

On the site pages Natalka and Kuzya are together again. This is my heartfelt gratitude for the years you brought me joy.

🇺🇦 Support from Ukraine

The Baby‑bear Club website is my personal initiative. I create it alone: no team, no grants, no investors. All fairy tales, articles and materials are the result of a lot of daily work.

Moreover, since 2022 Ukraine has been in the midst of the most difficult economic situation and full‑scale war. We live in the frontline city of Dnipro. Every day, every night we hear air raid alerts and receive warnings about drone attacks and ballistic shelling of our villages and cities. We hear explosions. We read horrible news. We are afraid.

Despite everything I continue to live and create.

But like many others in Ukraine, I find myself in a difficult situation:

• I can work only online;
• I need medical help but cannot afford it;
• I support my retired mother;
• I am an animal volunteer, my home hosts six animals, five of which are rescued, and their care requires constant expenses.

I am not complaining — I am explaining. Because help that comes from the heart is always about honesty.

I believe that good parenting and understanding can be carried into the world without loud slogans. But even such projects need support.

If you want:

• the site to grow and be filled with new stories;
• for me to be able to publish fairy tales and materials for children more often;
• for kind resources to remain free for all who need them —
